Melbourne, Australia Holiday Property Rentals

If you're planning a trip Down Under, why not visit Melbourne in Australia?

It is the capital city of the state of Victoria in Australia and is brimming with attractions and fun for all ages and tastes.

Whether you're looking to take a cultural holiday, a sporting break or a family vacation, Melbourne is the perfect destination. It's also a great location for a holiday property rental.

The city boasts a wealth of family-friendly activities, arts and culture, parks and gardens, sports facilities, theatre, shops, nightlife and more!

There are a number of ways to get around and enjoy the city. You can see the sights of the city by foot, bike, bus, tram or boat - whatever takes your fancy!

One of the best ways of touring the city is on foot, as you will be able to see so much more when you're out and about walking. Why not take advantage of the self-guided walks available?

Using two wheels is another great way of getting to know the city. There are special bike lanes which you can use here and cycling is good exercise too.

If you prefer to travel around Melbourne by boat on the river, you can take the Yarra River Shuttle Service, for example. You can purchase a pass which allows you to hop on and hop off the boat at various points and see the sights.

There is even some free public transport that you can take advantage of during your stay in the city. The City Circle Tram travels around central Melbourne and goes by major tourist attractions. There's also a free Melbourne City Tourist Shuttle bus, which you can jump on and off and stop off a various sights and tourist locations, such as the Melbourne Museum and Carlton Gardens, Melbourne Aquarium, Queen Victoria Market, Royal Botanic Gardens, Immigration Museum and more!

There are also many tours which you can join and learn more about the city of Melbourne. For example, you can take a hot air balloon trip above the city and the Yarra Valley, go on the Golden Mile Guided Walk, a Town Hall tour, the Hidden Bars of Melbourne, (a fun tour which visits five bars, including the Ice Bar), the Melbourne Cricket Ground Tour plus lots more!

If you've got kids in your party, be sure to visit Melbourne Zoo, which houses many species from around the world. You can, of course, also see Australian wildlife such as kangaroos, koalas, wombats and platypus! Melbourne Aquarium is also worth a visit and is an ideal family-friendly attraction.

If you fancy seeing the city from a great height, then visit Melbourne 360, which is an amazing observation deck from which you can view the city from the top of the Rialto building. If you've got a real head for heights, then also be sure to check out Eureka Skydeck 88, which is a fantastic observation deck at the top of the Eureka Tower. From there, you can see the most spectacular panoramic views of the city. Also located here is The Edge, an amazing glass cube which sticks out of the building. You can go inside the glass cube (if you dare!) and take in all the incredible views!

Melbourne has so much to offer its visitors. It's a great city to enjoy a holiday, whatever type of vacation you are planning - whether you're in search of adventure or relaxation!
